EARLY LIFE AND BACKGROUND
Sangeeta Gupta was conceived on 1 August 1968 to Sh. Murari Lal and Smt. Raj Gupta. She was from a community of Punjab-Mandi, Gobindgarh. Her parents were teachers. She constantly amazed them by her sharp personality and knowledge. She has a younger brother as well, Atul Gupta, who is 4 years younger from her. They both have extraordinary singing attainment which they got from their Dad, who used to sing in his school days and used to perform in youth fests too. She had a grave enthusiasm for show, mimicry and pretend since youth. Actor Sangeeta used to gather youngsters from her neighborhood and perform dramatization with them, of which her folks were unconscious. She has nobody in her family in the expert field of craftsmanship and culture.
Sangeeta Gupta completed her B.A. (Honors) in 1988 from Punjabi Language Punjabi University, Patiala. She was post graduated in Masters in Political Science in 1990 and Master in Theatre and Television in 1992 from Punjabi University, Patiala.
She has been completed her B. Ed from Punjabi University in 1997.
Actor Sangeeta represented two years in the Department of Indian theater and Theater and TV Department's Repertory Company at Punjabi University, Patiala and after that as a theater instructor in Shivalik Public School. She has a solid understanding to spread the specialty of theater. she led workshops for Punjabi college staff club, Punjabi University School, National School of Drama, Delhi, Rajinder Deva Orphanage, Patiala with the assistance of NZCC, Sarang Lok, Mohali and in different schools and universities of Chandigarh and Mohali. She worked with Dr. Satish Verma at Patiala, Kewal Dhaliwal, Niranjan Goswami at Calcutta and a lot more standards of theater. She likewise led workshops in different shelters, maturity homes, schools, universities, and so onward.
She has been a part of numerous Punjabi films-Aa Gaye Munde UK De, Kabadi Ik Mohabbat, Murg-e-Hazam, Sab Farhe Jaange, Gurchet Vich America, Titu MBA, and so onward. Till date she has worked in excess of 25 serials of various television stations, some of them are Lakeeran, Moh Bhang, Sanshey, Apna Datc. Sangeeta Gupta has acted in more than 50 plays and western works of art like Khamosh Adalat jari hai, Lehron Ke Raj Hans, Ashadh ka Ek clamor, Aadhe adhure, Inspector General, Mine Hostess, The penny pincher, Devi, Sat began, Loha kut,Main taan ik sarangi haan, Panchnad da paani,Khali plot, Sati, Firangian commotion ooh, Maa, and so forth., has given in excess of 5000 phase exhibitions and has coordinated more than 35 plays some of which are Firangian di nooh, Ab Hamari hai baari, Mull di tinvi, Maut di tissi, Galat aurat, Gulbano and so on. Actor Sangeeta did road plays for social causes like AIDS Awareness, Ram Janam Bhoomi, Hinsa parmo dharm, Kanjak, Toya, proficiency, condition, female feticide, etc. After coming to Chandigarh she worked in 25 ghettos for a long time. Sangeeta Gupta is one of the establishing individuals and chief of the NGO "Roopak Kala and Welfare Society" which is working from 1997.

For fulfilling this purpose she has been working in colleges of Chandigarh and preparing students for the Youth Festival since the past 18 years (1997-98).
